Ms. Green
Educator • Literacy Enthusiast • Lifelong Learner
Hello, my name is Gabrielle Green-Herrington.
I’m a National Board Certified Teacher and the founder of Ms. Green’s Garden of Learning. I’ve spent nearly 15 years helping children grow in confidence, skill, and independence as learners. My heart has always been in literacy, and BLOOM was created to give young readers the focused, encouraging support they need to build strong foundations and truly thrive.
A Love for Learning That Lasts
My passion for literacy started early. I’ve always been a reader, and I know firsthand how powerful reading can be. It opens doors, builds confidence, and gives children the ability to explore the world.
After years in the classroom, I saw a need for focused, intentional, and individualized reading support for our youngest learners. That’s why I created Ms. Green’s Garden of Learning, a place where children can build strong foundations, develop a love for reading, and grow into confident learners.
Hands-On, Purposeful, Child-Centered
At Ms. Green’s Garden of Learning, literacy instruction goes beyond worksheets. Students engage with sounds, letters, words, and text through purposeful, hands-on experiences that make learning meaningful and fun.
I use research-based, multisensory strategies to meet each child where they are and help them take the next step in their reading journey.
More Than Drop-In Tutoring
BLOOM is designed as a complete, structured literacy program — not a drop-in tutoring service.
Every child begins with an assessment so I can identify what they already know, uncover skill gaps, and determine the best starting point within the BLOOM Pathway. From there, instruction builds intentionally from one skill to the next, with regular progress monitoring and opportunities for review, practice, and mastery.
Because reading development depends on consistency, students attend their regularly scheduled sessions each week rather than dropping in only when homework is difficult or a test is approaching.
This allows me to truly get to know each learner, track their growth, adjust instruction when needed, and give them the time and repetition necessary to build lasting reading skills.
BLOOM isn't about getting through tonight's assignment. It's about building the reader your child will become.
